Match, Bumble Evidence in IP Dispute to Remain Confidential (1)

Dating app company Bumble Trading Inc. and rival Match Group LLC convinced a district court to keep evidence confidential in a trademark and patent infringement lawsuit between the companies.

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Jan. 17 granted a protective order that documents, source code and other data would be stamped as confidential, restricted, or for attorneys’ eyes only. Both companies asked the court for an order to shield sensitive information from accidental disclosure.
