Massachusetts General Hospital and several subsidiaries were accused in an updated federal lawsuit of ripping off a Texas inventor’s patented technique for recording interpretative comments and gestures, and overlaying those onto diagnostic video images.
The technique—which allows subsequent viewers to access earlier analytical sessions—is used primarily in cancer and tumor diagnostic and instructional settings, including more than 45,000 scans analyzed in almost 1,000 clinical trials, according to an amended complaint filed Wednesday by Tamabo Inc. and 511 Technologies Inc.
