Masimo Wins Ruling on Former Executive’s Theft of Trade Secrets

A former Masimo Corp. engineer stole trade secrets related to Masimo’s pulse oximetry technology, a California federal judge said in a ruling that blocks sales of such wireless devices by True Wearables Inc., the company he launched after a stint at Apple Inc.

True Wearables and the former Masimo engineer, Marcelo Lamego, “are permanently enjoined from further misappropriating the relevant trade secrets and are permanently enjoined from selling” their Oxxiom device “in its current iteration that includes the trade secrets,” according to a redacted version of Judge James V.
