Axel Bernabe has joined Manatt Phelps & Phillips as a partner with the cannabis practice in New York, the firm said Tuesday.
Bernabe served as the inaugural chief of staff and senior policy director for the Office of Cannabis Management in New York, according to Manatt.
He also held the role of chief health counsel to Governor Andrew Cuomo, Manatt said.
