Maker of Covid-Test Swabs Loses Bid for Immunity in Patent Suit

Puritan Medical Products Co., which garnered global attention for making swabs used for Covid-19 testing, lost its bid to toss all claims lodged by Copan Italia SpA related to the swabs made at Puritan’s P3 factory, as a federal judge in Maine rejected its argument a federal law had immunized it from such a suit.
