Wilson Sporting Goods Co. reached a confidential settlement of a trademark infringement suit against Caribbean Sluggers LLC over the use of the name “Louisville Slugger.”
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky dismissed the suit without prejudice Monday on Wilson’s motion filed “pursuant to a confidential settlement agreement.”
Wilson owns the Louisville Slugger brand name and manufactures baseball bats and equipment using that name in its Louisville, Ky., factory, according to the complaint. Wilson is also the owner of registered trademarks in the word “Slugger,” the complaint said.
