Zebra Defeats Lone Star Appeal of RFID Patent Invalidations (1)

Lone Star SCM Systems Ltd. failed to convince the Federal Circuit to revive its radio frequency ID-tracking patents that were axed in a dispute with Zebra Technologies Corp.

There is sustainable evidence to support the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s invalidation findings, according to an opinion issued Friday in the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The appellate court said it supports the PTAB’s claim construction findings.
