LMPG Sued by US Lighting Company Over Commercial LED Patents

ElectraLED Inc. sued Canadian competitor LMPG Inc., alleging patent infringement regarding several commercial lighting products.

LMPG’s pendant and projector products infringe ElectraLED’s US Patent Nos. 7,651,245B2 and 9,618,187, according to a complaint filed April 4 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. ElectraLED, a Florida-based manufacturer, said the patents relate to improvements to heat management in LED light fixtures.

ElecrtraLED’s complaint targets LMPG products including Lumenbeam Pendants in multiple sizes, LBX LED projector models, Lumenquad products in multiple sizes, and the Allegra, Pure, and Steele product lines.
