Translation company Lionbridge Technologies Inc. convinced the Second Circuit to affirm its victory over competitor TransPerfect Global Inc.'s trade secrets lawsuit.
Allegations that Lionbridge illegally acquired and used confidential information TransPerfect shared with Lionbridge’s parent company during an acquisition bid were speculative and unsubstantiated, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said in a summary order. It also held that some claimed secrets were generalized business practices that were “not a secret, let alone a trade secret.”
