The Federal Circuit wiped out Mondis Technology Ltd.'s $14.3 million jury verdict against
Mondis’ US Patent No. 7,475,180 doesn’t provide sufficient levels of detail to allow a skilled artisan to understand the invention, and so the verdict can’t stand, according to a precedential opinion issued Friday by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
“Because we hold the ‘180 patent is invalid for lack of an adequate written description, we reverse,” Judge Todd M. Hughes wrote.
