LG Gets Arendi’s Second Smartphone Patent Suit Thrown Out (1)

LG Electronics Inc. convinced the Federal Circuit to throw out a second patent infringement complaint Arendi SARL filed as it concerns the same patent and smartphone products in a related ongoing suit.

The US District Court for the District of Delaware rightly dismissed Arendi’s second suit against LG because the products and patents overlapped with a complaint filed nearly a decade later, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled in a precedential opinion.
