The Federal Circuit upheld a district judge’s ruling nixing a billable-hours tracker patent on grounds it was abstract, less than a week after its owner and alleged infringer LexisNexis, argued the case.
The court, which has exclusive jurisdiction over patent appeals, affirmed the lower court decision in a one-word Rule 36 judgment on Tuesday.
