Lego, Warner Brothers Survive Bid to Undo Toy Patent Decisions

Victories by Lego Group‘s U.S. unit and Warner Brothers Home Entertainment Inc. over a rival’s toy patents will stand despite efforts to undo them, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board said.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office tribunal denied FigureFun LLC’s requests to rehear decisions invalidating claims in its 7,001,276 and 7,338,377 patents. The patents cover a gaming machine and server and token with a built-in chip, also for gaming.
