LAX Federal Air Traffic Plan Survives Environmental Challenge

Los Angeles International Airport’s amended flight paths will continue after a federal appeals court held Monday the cities of Malibu and Culver City didn’t prove how they were harmed by the Federal Aviation Administration’s approval.

The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit denied the cities’ consolidated petition to review the air traffic changes under the National Environmental Policy Act, as the noise impacts from more aircrafts potentially deviating from flight procedures were too speculative.
