Law Firm Seeks to Nix Cable Giants’ Patent-Deal Subpoenas (1)

Global IP Law Group LLC asked an Illinois federal court to quash subpoenas for depositions sought by TV service providers including Comcast Corp., Cox Enterprises Inc., and Verizon Communications Inc. in a long running set of Delaware lawsuits alleging they infringed two TQ Delta LLC patents.

The companies requested the examinations as they seek details “about solicitations made on behalf of” Aware Inc., a developer of telecommunications technology that sold the applications that led to the two TQ Delta patents, according to the firm’s brief filed June 10 in support of its motion to quash the subpoenas ...
