Utah small business Pro Lash Inc. accused artificial eyelash kit creator Lashify Inc. of resorting to intimidation tactics to bully its competitor, including at a Las Vegas trade show, according to a motion to dismiss filed Monday in a patent infringement case.
Lashify’s January 2024 lawsuit didn’t make sufficient infringement allegations against Pro Lash or its founders, according to the motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Utah. The competitor requested, as an alternative solution, to stay proceedings pending Lashify’s litigation against Pro Lash’s manufacturer, Qingdao Hollyren Cosmetics Co.
