Lacrosse Equipment Company Sues Rival Over Glove-Padding Patent

Lacrosse equipment manufacturer STX LLC sued competitor StringKing Inc., accusing it of infringing a patent covering a protective sports glove with improved padding on the back.

StringKing, which STX said entered the lacrosse market earlier this year, is infringing US Patent No. 12,274,930—entitled “Stitchless Dorsal Padding For Protective Sports Gloves And Other Protective Gear“—with its Flyer1 lacrosse gloves, according to STX’s complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
