LabCorp, Natera Settled Cancer-Test Patent Row Mid-Trial (1)

Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings and Natera Inc. settled their dispute over patents covering cancer-detection technology on the fifth day of their jury trial earlier this month, according to a Delaware federal judge’s order.

Judge Gregory B. Williams revealed the Sept. 12 development in an oral order issued Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. He told the parties to either file a dismissal notice by Oct. 13 or update him on the timing of settlement paperwork. A Natera spokesperson declined to comment on the deal. LabCorp didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
