LabCorp Fails to Block Natera Patent-Invalidity Claims Pre-Trial

Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings failed to convince a federal judge to block Natera Inc.'s arguments that patents in a DNA-test case are too vague or incomplete to be valid, leaving the issues for a September jury trial.

Judge Gregory B. Williams denied LabCorp’s request for summary judgment on Natera’s claims that US Patent Nos. 10,604,799, 11,149,308, and 11,155,863 are invalid for lack of written description or enablement, according to an opinion issued Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
