Financial advisory services provider Kroll LLC accused two former cybersecurity executives of conspiring to poach employees and trade secrets for a competitor, a lawsuit in Virginia federal court said.
Benedetto Demonte and Devon Ackerman recruited other defectors, lied to customers, and wiped their devices before leaving the company, according to the complaint in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. An article in online publication “Cyber Risk Insurer” after their resignation was also part of a concerted campaign by the pair and their new employer, Cybereason Inc., to usurp business, the complaint said.
