Knife Maker Sues Competitor Over Pocket-Knife Slider Patent

Knife manufacturer Microtech Knives Inc. hit competitor Gunner Gear LLC with a patent-infringement lawsuit targeting a pocket-knife product line.

Gunner Gear’s Silverback product line uses similar methods as US Patent No. 11,607,818, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Microtech said it contacted Gunner Gear in December 2023 about its infringement concerns, but the competitor never responded.
