The photographer behind a portrait of jazz legend Miles Davis lost his bid for a new trial over a tattoo by celebrity artist Kat Von D, a Los Angeles federal judge ruled.
Photographer Jeffrey Sedlik’s argument that the jury was unreasonable to find that Von D’s tattoo wasn’t substantially similar to the Sedlik portrait couldn’t overcome the high bar for overturning a jury verdict, ruled Judge Dale S.
