TriZetto Group Inc. had argued trade secrets law plainly permits awards for unjust enrichment regardless of harm to the victim, but the high court on Monday denied the petition to take up the appeal. The US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit had deemed the award improperly punitive because the health care software at issue retained its value and secrecy.
