A federal judge shot down the New York Times Co.'s request to block a deposition of a consultant who worked on a key piece of evidence included in the newspaper’s copyright lawsuit against OpenAI Inc., while leaving it open whether he might be interviewed by lawyers for OpenAI later on in the litigation.
