Judge Orders Ex-Google Engineer to Stop Publishing Trade Secrets

A Texas federal judge ordered a former Google LLC engineer to remove the tech giant’s confidential information concerning Pixel software and hardware from his social media accounts.

Google and its unit Google India Private Ltd. have sufficiently demonstrated that former engineer Harshit Roy improperly acquired trade secrets and published them after leaving the company and moving to the US, according to an order filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. Judge Robert Pitman gave Roy 24 hours to remove the posts and ordered a preliminary injunction hearing on Dec. 3 in Austin, Texas.
