Judge Calls Winston & Strawn’s Actions Troubling in Apple Suit

A California federal judge appeared willing to grant Apple Inc.'s motion to sanction Winston & Strawn and its client Musi Inc. for including allegedly false claims in its lawsuit challenging removal of the music streaming app from the App Store.

Judge Eumi K. Lee said multiple times during a hearing Wednesday that she was troubled by Musi’s allegations in its amended complaint, particularly its claim that Apple admitted to relying on knowingly-false evidence about Musi’s conduct to justify taking down the app.
