Journalist Trims Defamation Claims Over Group’s Role in Jan. 6

A journalist shook off the bulk of defamation claims over his articles and tweets alleging a security and protective services group, its founder, and a member were involved in the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

The majority of Seth Abramson’s statements are constitutionally protected interpretations of adequately disclosed facts, Judge Paul J. Barbadoro of the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire ruled Tuesday.
