Jones Soda Co. allegedly infringed two patents concerning pose detection and processing data through the soda company’s reel labels feature, Electronic Scripting Products Inc. said in a lawsuit.
Jones Soda’s bottle labels have a QR code that presents a video on a customer’s phone once the code is scanned. The soda company allegedly infringed Electronic Scripting Products’ patents by creating and marketing the reel labels on its bottles when selling them to customers, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
Electronic Scripting is seeking damages, royalties, and lost profits.
