Jive Employee-Engagement Software Accused of Ripping Off Rival

Jive Software LLC’s popular employee-engagement software platform, which rewards and tracks the involvement of remote workers, was accused of copying a former supplier’s patented “gamification” technology.

Schoeneckers Inc., which does business as BI Worldwide, said Ignite Enterprise Software Sollutions LLC and its Jive unit continued using its Bunchball Nitro player-incentive software even after Jive stopped paying license fees in 2022, according to a Feb. 13 complaint in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
