Jetson Aerial Vehicle Infringes E-Bike Trademark, Suit Says

A “Jetson” aerial vehicle trademark infringes rights stemming from use on electric bikes and scooters, a New York federal lawsuit said Tuesday.

Jetstream Brands LLC said Jetson AB’s use of its “Jetson” mark to sell cars would confuse overlapping consumer bases in the “personal electronic vehicle” market, according to its complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Jetstream, which formally acquired the original “Jetson” trademark in April, also said the Swedish company “embarked on a multi-year campaign” to secure “illegitimate” trademark registrations.
