Jessica Alba’s Company Sues Hemp Goods Maker Over ‘Honest’ Brand

Jessica Alba’s Honest Co. says a Colorado-based seller of health and beauty products containing hemp-based ingredients is infringing its trademarks, according to a complaint filed Sept. 26 in federal court (Honest Company, Inc. v. Redmon Company Inc., C.D. Cal., No. 17-07115, complaint filed 9/26/17).

The Honest Co. accused the Redmon Co. of LIttleton, Colo. company of trademark infringement and unfair competition under federal and California state law for its use of the “Honest Herbal” brand name.
