Jack Nicklaus didn’t allow golf swing trainer maker PowerPro Sports LLC to continue using his likeness in advertising after his son’s friend left the company, a complaint filed Thursday in Florida federal court says.
Nicklaus Companies LLC said it only allowed Jim Sowerwine—a long-time friend of Nicklaus’s son Gary—to use pictures of Nicklaus trying out the Powerchute golf training system and his testimonials about the system.
