ITC Lets Apple Watch Redesign Stand, Ends Ban Enforcement Case

The US International Trade Commission declined to review a trade judge’s finding that a redesigned Apple Watch doesn’t infringe two Masimo Corp. patents, clearing it from a 2023 order barring Apple Inc.’s imports of certain models.

The ITC said in an April 17 notice that it won’t revisit Administrative Law Judge Monica Bhattacharyya’s enforcement initial determination, which found Apple’s Redesign 2 Watch doesn’t directly infringe asserted claims of US Patent Nos. 10,912,502 and 10,945,648, nor does it induce their infringement when used with an iPhone in the US.
