Italian Instagram influencer Gianluca Vacchi appealed to the Second Circuit Oct. 15 a trial judge’s dismissal of his suit alleging E*Trade Financial Corp. created an unauthorized “clone” of him for its ads.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled last month that Vacchi couldn’t prove E*Trade infringed his copyrights or violated his trademark or publicity rights.
