IT Consulting Firm Accuses Ex-Employees of Trade Secrets Theft

Global business consulting firm Protiviti Inc. sued two former employees, accusing them of misappropriating confidential trade secrets to directly compete with the company.

Protiviti, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Robert Half International Inc., filed a complaint against Caleb Davis and Kyle Shockley Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, seeking damages and the court’s assistance in enforcing employment agreements. The complaint alleges neither employee notified Protiviti that they were rendering services to their new venture, Texas-based company SolaSec LLC, during their employment. SolaSec is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
