Isaac Hayes’ heirs asked a federal judge to impose sanctions on Turning Point Action Inc. and its lawyers for filing a motion to dismiss in a copyright suit over use of the song “Hold On, I’m Coming” at Trump rallies they said is “riddled with false statements.”

Turning Point falsely claims Isaac Hayes Enterprises LLC and singer’s estate don’t state ownership over the 1966 soul classic and falsely argue the complaint doesn’t allege facts showing how the conservative nonprofit contributed to infringement, according to the motion filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. ...
