Irish Licensing Firm Sues Data Companies Over Cooling Tech

An Irish patent licensing firm and its beneficiary sued TierPoint LLC and DataBank Holdings Ltd., accusing their data centers of infringing patents by using cooling system technology.

The data companies didn’t stop infringing the technology after they were notified in March about licensing firm Valtrus Innovations Ltd.’s infringement concerns, Valtrus alleged in separate complaints filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
