Invalid Patent Behind Amazon Wrist Roller De-Listing, Suit Says

A Norwegian company abused Amazon.com Inc.‘s intellectual property system to remove competing wrist exercise equipment from the e-commerce platform, according to a lawsuit from a Chinese seller.

Shenzhen Xiang Wang Technology Co. sued Vikingstrength LLC in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia Monday, alleging a design patent cited by Vikingstrength to remove XW Tech’s Amazon product listing is invalid and not infringed. It also leveled claims of tortious interference with contractual relations and prospective economic advantage.
