Intuit MailChimp Sued Over Text Message Transaction Patents (1)

Intuit MailChimp allegedly infringes on patents asserted by software company IQX Corp. that cover technology that allows secure access to transactions by text message.

IQX filed the lawsuit Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas over its US Patents No. 11,876,924 and No. 12,368,799.

The ’924 patent covers a solution that allows “secure access to an in-progress transaction path” for third-party telephone messaging, and the ‘799 patent describes a “two-document solution” for linking to documents to complete a transaction without exposing data to an insecure network, the complaint says.
