Intel, VLSI Patent Trial Set for November After Covid Delay (1)

A high stakes patent trial between Intel Corp. and VLSI Technology LLC has been reset for November after positive Covid-19 tests derailed the trial last month.

Judge Alan Albright in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas scheduled jury selection and trial to begin November 7 in a brief order Tuesday.

It will be the third trial between VLSI and Intel over different patents related to chip-making technology. VLSI won a $2.18 billion verdict in West Texas in March 2021. Intel was cleared of infringement in the second trial the following month.
