Intel Trial Will Stay in Waco as Fed. Cir. Declines to Weigh in

Intel Corp. couldn’t convince the Federal Circuit to step in a second time to stop a West Texas judge from moving a patent infringement case to Waco.

Judge Alan Albright of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas ordered the case transferred from Austin to Waco, where VLSI Technology LLC originally sued Intel for infringing its data processing system patents.

Albright moved the case so that trial can begin in February while the Austin courthouse remains closed because of the pandemic.
