Innowise Stole Medical Waste-Cutting Software Secrets, Suit Says

Software developer Innowise Inc. stole trade secrets related to a prospective business partner’s system for reducing medical-supply waste, a Florida federal lawsuit alleges.

Strinnova LLC, owned by a mother and son who developed an expiration date management solution, or EDMS, shared its creation with Innowise under a nondisclosure agreement, it told the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida. After briefly walking away from Innowise’s proposed timeline, Strinnova circled back only to find Innowise had already documented use of the EDMS on its website, the Thursday complaint said.
