Injunction on Christmas Light Sculptures Deemed Properly Lifted

A holiday lights show company failed to convince the Sixth Circuit to reinstate an injunction on light sculptures that allegedly infringed its copyright.

Enchant Christmas Light Maze & Market Ltd. didn’t show it would likely prevail in its copyright suit against Glowco LLC, a company operated by someone who had previously worked with Enchant, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said Thursday in affirming a lower court ruling. Enchant also failed to show it would be irreparably harmed without an injunction, the court said.
