Infosys Told to Rework Cognizant Monopoly Claims in Secrets Suit

Healthcare software provider Cognizant TriZetto Software Group Inc. escaped antitrust counterclaims, for now, in a lawsuit accusing IT services giant Infosys Ltd. of stealing trade secrets.

Infosys failed to describe substitute products and other alternatives when identifying the relevant market Cognizant allegedly monopolized, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said. That failure doomed its counterclaims made in Cognizant’s lawsuit alleging Infosys blew past limited software access rights to help mutual clients, the court said.
