Indeed Services Targeted in Patent Suit on Data-Mining Tech (1)

Features of Indeed Inc.’s web-based platform and mobile apps infringe four Flexiworld Technologies Inc. patents related to methods and systems for mining users’ data to provide services over the Internet, a federal lawsuit says.

Flexiworld alleges that Indeed—the world’s largest employment portal and a subsidiary of Japan-based Recruit Holdings Co.—infringes four reissued patents with products including Indeed Ads, Indeed Resume Project, and Indeed Instant Match, according to a complaint filed Oct. 18 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
