IBM, Zynga Settle $45 Million Suit on Patented Mobile-Games Tech

IBM Corp. and Zynga Inc. are finalizing a settlement months after jurors found Zynga’s mobile games infringed at least one of two now-expired patents and awarded IBM $44.9 million.

Judge Gregory B. Williams on Monday approved a stipulation and proposed order to stay that IBM and the Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. unit jointly filed in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. He paused all deadlines and gave the parties until Dec. 30 to file a stipulation of dismissal or status update.
