IBM Sues Rakuten for Patent Royalties on Websites, Mobile Apps

IBM said Rakuten’s websites and mobile applications, which provide consumers cash-back offers on products, use its technology without permission, infringing four IBM patents while helping Rakuten reap billions in annual revenue.
