IBM Must Face GlobalFoundries Chip Tech Trade Secrets Lawsuit

International Business Machines Corp. failed to halt GlobalFoundries US Inc.'s lawsuit accusing Big Blue of disclosing its trade secrets in licensing deals with Intel Corp. and Rapidus Corp.

GlobalFoundries’ allegations are “more than sufficient” to plead the existence of trade secrets covering technology that makes chips faster and more energy efficient, according to an order in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York denying IBM’s motion to dismiss.
