Hunting Titan Moves to Unravel Patent Office Leaders’ Precedent

A perforating gun company is trying to overturn a Patent and Trademark Office decision made by the agency’s director and other leaders, arguing the panel failed to review the whole record.

Hunting Titan Inc. wants the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to vacate a decision from the PTO’s Precedential Opinion Panel allowing DynaEnergetics Europe GmbH to add new claims to a perforating gun and detonator assembly patent amid a validity challenge.
