Hugh Grant to Get Day in Court Against Tabloid Over Hacking (1)

British actor Hugh Grant’s long running campaign against a Rupert Murdoch owned-tabloid will get its day in court after a judge in London ruled that certain allegations around intrusion of privacy and hacking can go to trial.

Grant, alongside Prince Harry and other public figures, sued News Group Newspapers Ltd.’s The Sun for alleged unlawful information gathering techniques by staff at the newspaper. A full trial is scheduled for January 2024.
